What weekends are all about!

I've had the most enjoyable weekend...Thank you to all who took part, including you the sun who has been working over time!!!!!

It's been good busy and I'M TOO TIERD TO BLOG. My body aches, my eyelids are getting heavier as I type and too many trees and Corona's in the sunshine has left me feeling floaty and ready to pass the F**k out!

But I'll leave a couple pictures to mark the day. This was how my sunday evening was spent - in style- on a driving range, swinging a 9-Iron and banging out golf balls 150 yards(me thinks??) and laughing my ass off. It was HEAVVVII!!!!!!!

....Now watch this drive

...but of course!

Pic of the day goes to my buffer-buddy "Fonzy", aka the 'Tripod'....

: ) .....to be Continued!

Been there , done that - messed around....

…This song speaks to me right now, it expresses my feelings for me and sounds great. It gives me a feeling of self righteousness, push my fist in the air, I’ma -I’ma a d-diva, your loss not mine buddy, singing out of tune, music blasting, Chesher cat smile on my game face and im good to go. I’m missing my friend who I’ve had to go cold turkey on...it’s all for the greater good.

Lust is crazy but I’d rather have lust n lived than… damn we had fun!

I heard this song a while back and not until I heard again today on shuffle did I really pay attention and feel the lyrics... well go on then, listen!

The third single by the london based electro pop duo La Roux, Bulletproof is an an electro-boppy, dance number. Keep ya ears peeled for some dope dub-step and house remixes. I'm was a big fan of the In for the Kill Skream remix and I can't wait for their album to drop on the 29th June.

This colourful, neon, 3-dimesional, 80s inspired video reminds me so much of Robyn’s - With Every Heartbeat directed by photographer Fredrik Skogkvist…But is in actual fact directed by The Holograms at UFO Label

4 Golden Elephants ;)

....I spoke too soon!

Okay so as you know I started my new job only yesterday ...HEAR THIS, I have just been sent home!!!!!!

...I know!!!!

...here's what happenened... im having an innocent conversation with my manager about holidays as you do, you know general chit chat to pass the time: I been here....I had the best time in...oohh sounds lovely...I just got back from Mexico- *cough cough (dont worry the two arent related)

My OTT - hype, follow the rule book, ghealth and safety rules- Manager (bless him he's a lovely man) gets all hot under the collar and little to my knowledge has gone off and informed his manager that he's worried that after 2months back in the country I could be carrying around swine flu and infecting the office - Pha - likley story! After much discussion and they then decide to call in the Brent Nazi Bio-chemical Warfare team to take me out.....ok that's not really how it happened but that was a serious possibility!

......but after dilly dallying back and forth with calls to HR I got told I was being sent home, WITH FULL PAY :) and could only return either this afternoon or the next day after, I've seen the doctor and got the all clear *cough cough (smokers cough, dont worry the two arent related)
Got an apppointment for later today

...cuppa tea anyone? I'll just have one sugar - I'm sweet enough ;)

This goes out to my people still in the struggle

So as I was saying I’ve got a new job, I’ve been out of fulltime work for a yea now. A Whole F**king Year bruv!

The recession hit me pretty hard and while at first I took it in my stride, I was soon missing fulltime work like a Kardashian without her fake lashes. In April 2008 I gave up fulltime work in an engineers office to pursue my career prospects in radio broadcast and events management on a fulltime basis, up until then it was all training and freelance. All was going well, couple months work experience; some paid work here and there, earned some skills and successfully managed events… I didn’t see the recession coming but like a wave it looked harmless but it knocked my bikini off and left me vulnerable. Ok so it was my own fault but I wasn’t putting the blame on anyone was I.

Many of you unemployed brethren know how hard it’s been. No contract = no secure work, gaps in my CV= not a reliable candidate for work. Not enough experience = under qualified. Most of the time and lets be honest, the fate of most jobs on the market have already been decided and usually by some snake like character who run the office and like gargoyles have always been there guarding the building for many years from anyone who will bring change and possibly the threat of competition – you make me want to scream and tear out my beautiful hair that you envy oh so so! Trust me I’m still coming for your job

…Well from tomorrow this is no more. My lovely agent Natalie at Morgan Hunt hooked me up with this cushy little job at the local council, 4mins walk from me yard; where I’ll be pushing paper through scanners and determining where they go in their journey on the archiving database…so maybe a step in different direction but it’s money and I’m moving again, onwards and upwards I shall go… oh, and my best mate Orla works in the building to …SCORE!!!!!!!

The last year has been unfortunately negative as well as productive but that’s all behind us now although I may reference from time to time, so things makes sense…. I digress!

Welcome to busy little elephant, cause from now on – that’s what I’ll be, busy. No more dwelling on him, her, you or them. It’s about me and its about f**king time too – time for things to take off and happen.

Let’s see how long I’ll last.

All Aboard!

On the eve of my new job, I’m starting a new chapter in the life of MISTRY. – That’s me btw…Call me Von Mistry (my inner Vargas girl) or Nish. London born and bred - I'm the small package, good things come in (get your mind out the gutter).
You can find me smiling at your nearest social club having a ball. A girl with a big heart; I play my music loud, I dance freely and I say what I think so pardon my french. I love to be creative and have so many ideas and thoughts that some you might like and some you might love. My talents are as endless as the hair on my head; so... in the spirit of productiveness and being motivated to act on my thoughts and ideas…welcome to The Busy Little Elephant.
